As part of an ongoing growth initiative, we are looking to strengthen their Futures Desk by adding talented brokers who specialize in commodities futures, with a particular focus on the battery metals market.
As a Broker in the Futures Desk, you will focus on trading commodities futures, specifically in the rapidly growing battery metals derivatives market. You will play a critical role in this high-demand sector, facilitating the execution of futures contracts related to lithium, nickel, cobalt, and other key materials essential for the energy transition and electric vehicle industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Brokerage: Execute commodities futures trades, with a strong focus on battery metals derivatives, ensuring the efficient flow of transactions.
Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, including investment firms, banks, and energy companies.
Market Insights: Monitor global market trends, supply/demand dynamics, and geopolitical factors that influence battery metal prices and their impact on futures markets.
Risk Management: Collaborate with clients to manage commodity risk, offering tailored solutions to hedge price exposure in battery metals.
Research & Analysis: Stay abreast of market developments and provide clients with insightful market analysis and trading recommendations.
What We’re Looking For:
2 to 4 years of experience in commodities futures trading, preferably with exposure to energy or metals markets.
Deep understanding of the battery metals market and the drivers of demand and pricing for critical materials like lithium, nickel, and cobalt.
Strong client-facing skills with a focus on developing and managing relationships in institutional markets.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey market insights clearly to clients.
A self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
