About the Company:
Sizable and established hospitality, tourism and entertainment group. With upcoming expansion of business and increasing footprint in Singapore, the company is looking to grow its technology capabilities.
 
Overview:
The Director, Data Centre and Network Operations will be responsible for the end-to-end management of a new data centre project and network operations, encompassing everything from initial design and planning to full operational implementation. This role requires a visionary leader with extensive experience in data centre architecture, network infrastructure, construction, and operation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale data centre projects, managing network operations, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the latest technologies and industry best practices.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Reporting directly to the Group CIO, you will be the Head of Data Center and Network Operations
  • Lead the design and implementation of new data centers and network infrastructure
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of data center and network projects from planning to execution
  • Ensure data centers and network systems are designed for optimal performance, efficiency, and scalability
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for data center and network projects
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align data center and network initiatives with business needs
  • Maintain high standards of data center and network operations, security, and compliance
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates on network equipment and software
  • Conduct deep dives on complex technical issues across networks, ranging from automated tooling to hardware failures

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data centre and network operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience in data centre migration projects and network operations (in IT, not facilities management)
  • Proven experience in designing, building, and managing large-scale data centres and network infrastructure from scratch will be a bonus
  • Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure components, including power, cooling, networking, and security systems
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2), data centre management (CDCP, CDCS), or network operations (CCNA, CCNP) is a plus
