Organisation and role: Leading Sydney based ASX 200 Investment Manager, looking to appoint a Lead Senior Analyst to join their Fund Accounting and Operations team on a fixed term contract basis. 

Job purpose: As a Lead Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for the successful delivery and migration of custody and accounting services to the newly appointed custodian.  

Role type: 11 month fixed term role

Key deliverables

  • Manage the unit pricing business requirements and solution design with respect to data migration, system and operation changes and service level agreement
  • Act as subject matter expert for the data take-on, transformation, load and reconciliation process.
  • Responsible for the identification, resolution and escalation of exceptions and issues.
  • Liaise with custodians and investment managers to ensure accurate and timely data migration/transition.
  • Responsible for the collation and execution of unit pricing implementation activities.
  • Responsible for the collation of unit pricing testing requirements and participate in user acceptance and end to end dress rehearsal testing, including valuation methodology validation, asset reconciliation and mapping verification.
  • Assist the Senior Manager with project status reporting and maintenance of unit pricing risks and issues log.
  • Ensure business readiness (including entry and exit criteria) to support transition activities.
  • Develop training materials and provide information to the BAU team on transition activities.

Key skills and experience:
  • Approximately 8+ years in Financial Services, with specific technical knowledge of Fund Accounting and Unit Pricing, Investment Administration & Custody Operations.
  • Preferred 4+ years direct unit pricing experience.
  • Implementation / Transition experience gained in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge of a range of securities & their treatment.
  • Demonstrates capability in project planning & delivery, good numeracy & analytical ability, as well as capable of multi-tasking.
  • Excellent communication skills both written & verbal.
  • Good working knowledge of Hi-Portfolio & relevant market systems.
  • Degree qualified in Business, Commerce, Finance or Accounting.
  • Professional qualifications such as CPA/CA/CFA preferred.
  • Experience working within an APRA/ASIC regulated environment.
