Role Overview
A leading regional commercial bank with extensive and growing presence in the region. This dynamic financial institution is committed to innovation and excellence, providing a challenging and inspiring environment for its employees. This is a critical role heading the Cyber Security & Information Security Function in Singapore.
 
Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning
  • Develop and implement IT Security and Cyber Security strategies, including blueprints, project plans, and roadmaps.
  • Lead the strategic direction and management of all cybersecurity aspects.
  • Continuously improve security architecture and cybersecurity maturity models to balance business needs with security risks.
  • Drive security strategies and implement IT solutions to minimize cyber-attack risks.

Operations and Management

  • Ensure security operations remain current and relevant.
  • Manage the IT security budget and communicate with relevant parties.
  • Oversee the IT security department, providing leadership and developing staff.
  • Implement cybersecurity assurance and operational support for business units.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure IT systems and applications meet business needs while adhering to security best practices, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Advise management on security matters and set directions for regulatory compliance.
  • Establish security architecture aligned with Group Cyber Resilience.

Assessment and Improvement

  • Conduct continuous assessments of current IT security practices and identify areas for improvement.
  • Review project specifications to ensure adequate security controls are in place.
  • Conduct pre-production security assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls.
  • Minimize security incidents and maximize cybersecurity resilience.

Communication and Stakeholder Management

  • Communicate digital programs and cybersecurity strategies to stakeholders, providing sound security advice.
  • Raise cybersecurity awareness within the organization.

Project Involvement

  • Engage in high-complexity projects requiring expert knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments.
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
  • Required Security Industry Certifications: CISSP, CISM, SANS, GSEC.
  • 7-12 years of experience in large organisation with expertise in information security and risk management, with leadership experience in managing security operations and teams.
  • Industry experience from financial institutions, banking, insurance, asset management will be a bonus.
  • Proven leadership experience in designing and assessing IT security solutions, preferably in financial services.
  • Strong track record in managing complex projects in information security & tech risk management
  • Demonstrated ability to drive IT security strategy forward and form business partnerships.
  • MBA will be a bonus
  • Additional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Microsoft, CISCO are advantageous.
