Our client who is a leading energy firm headquartered in Singapore is seeking a Head of HSSE for the SEA region. The candidate will come with 15 to 25 years of experience across managing operational risks to ensure personnel safety, health, security, and environmental performance across multiple sites in the region.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Lead efforts to promote a zero-accident culture and drive the achievement of HSSE KPIs.
  • Develop and execute HSSE training, promotional activities, and coaching to reinforce a strong HSSE culture.
  • Ensure compliance with Group HSSE policies across all sites in Singapore and Southeast Asia, implementing actions for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee HSSE management for multiple sites and ensure adherence to statutory requirements and guidelines for EPC contractors and subcontractors.
  • Establish incident investigation protocols, ensuring effective reporting, accountability, and remedial actions, while promoting lessons learned to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide support to operational units in formulating and executing HSSE action plans.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of HSSE strategies and programs to ensure continuous improvement at site levels.
  • Drive environmental protection initiatives, including air, water, noise, and soil monitoring, as well as waste management programs.
  • Develop and implement physical security programs, including risk assessments and monitoring.
 
Requirements: 
  • Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Registered MOM WSH Officer.
  • Certified Safety Auditor will be preferred.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience with prior management experience
  • Experience in the Energy / Power Generation/ Construction industry is required.
  • Experience in problem solving HSSE issues in a dynamic/diverse environment and implementation of risk control systems and processes
  • High adaptability and able to work effectively in a matrix structure.
  • Able to travel as and when required.
