  • Candidates must have a minimum of 12 years' investment experience, with at least 5 years in a deal lead role

Responsibilities would include:

  • Establish and lead deal flow and managing deal progress from inception to exit against agreed timelines
  • Work closely with senior management and investment team to identify, screen, and invest into high-impact businesses driving the low carbon transition in Southeast Asia 
  • Lead deal screening and investment thesis development for new prospects, conduct meetings with founders and senior management of portfolio companies, and represent the firm at external events 
  • Lead and oversee the entire due diligence process, including setting priorities, managing deal models, and performing investment valuations
  • Guide junior team members and synthesize findings into comprehensive memoranda for the Investment Committee
  • Lead transaction negotiations and structure deals, while overseeing investment documentation in coordination with internal and external legal counsel
  • Serve as a portfolio company board member or observer, assisting leadership in value creation initiatives, process improvements, and management development to drive business growth and successful exits
  • Support investment commitment, disbursement procedures, and monitor the ongoing performance of portfolio companies, ensuring alignment with key objectives
  • Support fundraising and investor relations activities 

Profile of ideal candidate:

  • Degree in any discipline 
  • Minimum of 12 years' investment experience, with at least 5 years in a deal "leadership" role within venture capital, banking, private equity, or corporate ventures
  • Proven track record in managing and executing investment transactions, from deal origination through to closing, with strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Extensive experience in overseeing all stages of the investment lifecycle, including portfolio management and exit strategies
  • Renewable energy sector and climate change experience; with a deep understanding of market, regulatory, and economic drivers that impact the low carbon transition in Southeast Asia
  • Collaborative problem-solver with a pragmatic approach, capable of working across financial, legal, and regulatory facets to structure and execute transactions effectively
