Responsibilities:

Lead the design, planning, and execution of medicinal chemistry strategies, ensuring projects progress within timelines, budgets, and quality standards, with a focus on drug development in oncology and central nervous system diseases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate medicinal chemistry into drug development, staying updated on innovative approaches and advances in the field, with a special emphasis on drug development in areas like oncology and central nervous system diseases.
Oversee data analysis, research interpretation, and make critical decisions based on scientific evidence, with an emphasis on drug development.
Manage preclinical programs and maintain good working relationships with CROs to ensure timely project implementation and completion.

Requirements:

Possess a Ph.D. in organic chemistry or a closely related field.
Possess 8+ years of relevant experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical drug discovery and development, those with >12 years’ experience can be considered for more senior position (Senior Director / VP)
Demonstrate the ability to oversee programs from the initial hit-finding phase through to candidate delivery.
Demonstrated leadership and collaborative skills in the realm of drug discovery, coupled with a comprehensive knowledge of medicinal chemistry.
Strong vendor / CRO management, communications, and presentation skills
Demonstrate the aptitude to create, implement, and clearly communicate chemistry strategies to teams, management, and collaborators.
