  • Good knowledge/experience in the commodity financing industry (large corporates, global clients and any asset class) 
 
Responsibilities would include:
  • Act as global account manager for Singapore based Commodities, Food & Agri sector clients and local/regional account manager for inbound clients
  • Manage key clients in Singapore (both outbound and inbound) with focus on developing a strategic dialogue with the clients and developing non-lending (financial markets, capital markets, M&A) business with them
  • Responsible for setting account strategy, driving business, meeting financial targets and managing risks
  • Develop a strategic dialogue with clients at C-suite level and position the bank as a trusted advisor
  • Collaborate with product partners (Financial Market, Capital Markets and Advisory, Transaction Services, Sustainable Finance), account managers in other regions and other internal stakeholders like Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations to deliver the full bank to clients
  • Manage end-to-end credit approval process, deal execution and portfolio monitoring

Profile of ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • 10-15 years of relevant working experience 
  • In depth knowledge of and experience in the commodity financing industry; prior experience of managing Singapore-based large commodity traders will be an advantage
  • Ability to engage with clients at C-Suite level; and to manage multiple and senior internal stakeholders independently
  • Sound understanding of banking products including Financial and Capital markets
  • Sound judgement – ability to find the right balance with business and risks
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial with a high degree of commercial drive and initiative to grow the business
  • An effective team player with good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to coach junior team members
