Job Overview
The Data Scientist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze complex datasets, develop predictive models, and contribute to data-driven decision-making processes. Insights generated will be crucial in optimizing customer experiences and improving operational efficiencies.
 
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis: Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within large datasets.
- Model Development: Design, implement, and validate machine learning models that address various business challenges.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Data Visualization: Create dashboards and reports that effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Continuous Improvement: Maintain and enhance data infrastructure, ensuring high data quality and integrity.
 
Qualifications
- Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
- Depending on grading, 3-5 / 5-7 years of experience in data science or analytics roles within the financial sector.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R; experience with SQL for data manipulation; familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark); Proficiency in language such as Go/GoLang / JavaScript / C/++ will be a bonus.
- Machine Learning Expertise: Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and their applications in finance.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present complex data insights clearly.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Knowledge of statistical modeling techniques and their application in finance.
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms for data storage and processing.
